Third Person’s POV
At the Lotus Pack, Alpha Eros paced restlessly through his quarters. His wolf whined low and mournful, a constant ache echoing through his chest. There had been no word from Remi, no sign of her since she had vanished from the pack. His mind raced, replaying the events over and over. Where was she?
He had sent out scouts and trackers, pulling in every resource at his disposal, but there had been nothing–no trace, no scent, no hint of where she might have gone. The anger had settled deep in his bones, the kind of feeling that twisted and clawed its way through every thought, making him feel restless and on edge.
What made it worse was that he had learned too late that Remi was pregnant. The realization hit him like a storm. She carried his child, and yet, he hadn’t been there for her when she needed him most. How could he let her slip through his fingers like that?
Daisy, ever the dutiful woman, tried to fill the void in his life. She cooked meals for him, tried to distract hin soft smiles and flirtations. She made herself available at every turn, trying to be the woman she thought he needed. Yet, no matter how much she tried, no matter how many times she smiled sweetly at him or offered her help, it wasn’t
the same.
As she set down a tray of food before him, Eros’s gaze flickered over her, but his mind was elsewhere. His thoughts were consumed with Remi–the way she had filled the spaces in his life in ways he hadn’t even known were missing Remi had known him, understood him in ways that no one else did. She knew the little things–how he took his coffee, how he liked the air cool in the morning, the way he preferred his training sessions. Daisy didn’t know any of that. She was trying, but it was as if she was playing a part in a script she didn’t understand.

“You’re awfully quiet, Alpha,” Daisy said, her voice laced with concern as she settled down beside him. She placed her hand gently on his, trying to catch his attention. “Is something wrong?”
Eros forced a smile, though it didn’t quite reach his eyes. “Nothing’s wrong, Daisy. Just… thinking.” He didn’t want to hurt her feelings, but it wasn’t her he was thinking about. The more time he spent with her, the more he realized just how much he missed the way Remi had been with him. Daisy might be sweet, might be beautiful, but there was an emptiness he couldn’t shake.
Daisy’s eyes dimmed a little, but she pressed on. “I made your favorite tonight–grilled steak, with the rosemary
you like. Do you!
to try it?”
Eros glanced down at the plate, but he couldn’t bring himself to care about the food. “Maybe later,” he muttered, setting the fork down with a soft clink
Her smile faltered, and he caught a flash of disappointment in her eyes before she masked it. “I just want to make you happy, Eros. You’re being distant.”
He sighed, feeling the weight of her words, but still, his heart felt heavy. He wasn’t alone, but his soul felt fractured. He loved Daisy, he did, but the emptiness remained. He had always thought his love for her would be enough, but with Remi gone, everything felt… wrong.
Daisy’s parents, Alpha Donovan and Luna Kierra, entered the room, their faces serious. The atmosphere shifted, and Eros could sense the tension building. Alpha Donovan’s gaze was sharp, his lips pressed into a thin line. He didn’t waste any time
“Eros,” Donovan began, his voice commanding. “We need to discuss Remi. We’re disowning her for good. To keep the alliance, you need to marry Daisy. This whole situation with Remi has dragged on long enough, and it’s
time to make it official.”
Eros’s eyes narrowed, the mention of Remi sending a spike of anger through him. “Isn’t it too soon?” His voice was firm, though the agitation in his chest was growing.
Luna Kierra stepped forward, her voice soft but no less authoritative. “Eros, Remi is out of the picture. She’s ungrateful. She left without a word, without considering what she was leaving behind. We gave her everything raised her like our own. And this is how she repays us?” Her words cut deep, the betrayal clear in her tone.
Eros clenched his fists under the table, struggling to contain the anger rising within him. “She’s carrying my
child.”
The room fell silent, the weight of his words hanging in the air. Daisy’s eyes widened in shock, and even
Donovan and Kierra looked taken aback for a moment. Eros could feel his wolf clawing at him, angry, restless. It was hard to deny the truth any longer. His wolf wanted Remi, needed her, and the thought of her being out there somewhere, alone, with their child….it was almost too much to bear.
Kierra quickly recovered, her tone turning cold. “That doesn’t matter. She’s gone. You need to think about what’s best for the pack, for the future. Daisy is here, ready and willing to be by your side. You need to make a decision,
Eros.”

Eros stood up abruptly, his chair scraping against the floor. His wolf was clawing at the surface, desperate for action. “I need to time to think.” The words slipped out before he could stop them, and he knew in that moment that there was no going back. “I can’t just marry Daisy while Remi and my child are out there. I need to know if she’s
alright
Daisy’s face crumpled, and she quickly stood, trying to hide the hurt in her eyes. “Don’t tell me you care for that woman? She stole half of my supposed life,” she whispered, her voice breaking
Eros looked at her, feeling a pang of guilt, but the turmoil inside him was too much. “I don’t know, Daisy. I don’t know what I feel right now, but I do know I need to find Remi.”

Before he could say anything else, an omega entered the room, holding a sealed envelope. He bowed before handing it to Eros. The wax seal was unmistakable–the royal crest. Eros took the letter, his hands steady but his mind racing
He broke the seal and read the contents quickly. His heart skipped a beat when he saw the words “The Royal Crown Prince invites you to attend a banquet to celebrate his birthday. You are requested to attend with your pack
representatives.”
