“Don’t move.” In the foyer, Evan slowly walked closer to me.
His scent grew stronger.
I held my hands behind my back. I was so nervous that my palms were all sweaty. Three feet, two feet… I screamed. internally as he got closer.
We were now facing each other toe–to–toe. With such a close. distance, he was definitely going to kiss me!
The thought made me raise my head shyly in excitement. I saw Evan raise his arm as well. W–Was he going to hold the back of my head?

I quickly leaned forward, leaving some space between my head and the door to make it easier for him to hold the back of my
head.
I had never been kissed by a man before, but I knew that I should keep m yes closed during a kiss. My heart was almost beating out of my chest when I closed my eyes in anticipation.
Evan must’ve suddenly approached me like this because he was jealous. I squealed internally.
While I was still drunk in happiness, Evan said coldly above.

Sorting through documents was child’s play to me. I purposely learned to do so in my previous life to assist Samuel better. I could confidently say that I could perform as well as Xavier.
By the time Evan walked out of the bathroom while drying his hair with a towel, I had already translated everything. Sadly, he was already dressed up

I was going to say he could’ve let me take a peek, but I swallowed my words upon seeing his icy gaze.
“Why did you stop?” Evan stood behind me and slammed his towel onto the desk. “Julia, you’re a girl who just turned 18. What are you doing?”
“Nothing. I’m just trying to make you my boyfriend!” I replied fearlessly.
Evan’s expression darkened upon hearing my words.
What you feel for me is just puppy love, okay?” He spoke like an elder. “If you keep acting like this, you can go back to Juville immediately. It’s not like you’re the only one who can do this job.”
Evan glanced at the documents on the table. Before turning around, he looked at me like he was reprimanding me for daydreaming instead of doing my job properly, but I had already translated everything.
Did he think I was just a rash and thoughtless child? My voice cracked when I shouted at his fading silhouette, “Evan, I don’t care what you think, but I’m serious about liking you!”
