“Rose, I don’t make myself out to be a good person. Call me despicable or shameless, that’s who I am. Since you know that, it’s perfectly reasonable for me to insult Theodore that way.”
“You…” Rosalie was so infuriated, she was at a loss for words.
“Rose, don’t stoop to his level,” Theodore advised. “There’s no need to say anything. Let him insult me. That’s his goal anyway, to make himself feel good.”
Theodore didn’t find it embarrassing to let Rosalie feed him. Conversely, he felt fortunate to have the chance to spend some time with her. He never thought he would get to be so close to her again.
“Theo.” Rosalie broke down crying. “Have…have some food…”
Rosalie fed him spoon by spoon.
Theodore’s eyes were filled with tenderness and all he could see was Rosalie. He felt no sense of shame or humiliation whatsoever.
Yerick watched on at the side and smiled gleefully. “Mr. Spencer, does it taste good, food that a woman has to feed you? What a shame of a man you are!”
“Please stop talking, I’m begging you!” Rosalie turned around and said tearfully, glaring at Yerick with fire burning in her eyes.
“Rose, it’s fine. Don’t mind him and just leave him be. I want to eat more. Give me that one,” Theodore said, trying to calm her down.
Rosalie wiped the tears from her face, feeling even more upset at the sight of how calm Theodore was. She didn’t know if Theodore really didn’t care or if he was tolerating Yerick.
Theodore ate some food and Rosalie fed him some water. Throughout the entire time, Yerick kept standing at the side, hurling insults at Theodore. The meal finally ended in the midst of insults and humiliation.
Yerick pulled Rosalie out and Theodore started getting anxious. “Humiliate me any way you like, but don’t hurt her. Please, I’m begging you!”
“Mr. Spencer, you’re so good at begging others, but the world wouldn’t be so filthy if begging worked. I’m telling you, I’ll marry Rose after torturing you two to death.”
“Yerick, dream on! I’ll never marry you!”
“Oh, is that so?” Yerick suddenly pulled out a gun and pointed it at Theodore. “Say that again.”
Rosalie’s heart leaped in fright. “Yerick, don’t do this!”
“Rose, say one more time that you’ll never marry me.”
Rosalie kneeled on the ground again. “I won’t say that again! Please, I’ll marry you or do anything you ask of me!”
“Rose, stand up! Don’t bow down to him, just let him kill me!” Theodore would rather die than let Rosalie be humiliated like that.
“Hahaha…!” Yerick burst out
laughing. “Rose, that’s why one
shouldn’t be too stubborn. You only submit when I get serious. That’s not good. You need to learn how to size up the situation. You don’t have an advantage in this situation right now, and all you can do is be obedient. Understand?”
Rosalie nodded and said in tears, “Understood.”
Yerick slammed the door shut, separating Theodore and Rosalie once again. He then dragged her up from the ground. “Let’s head back, Rose.”
Rosalie cried as she turned back to look at the door.
Yerick brought her back to her room and threw her on the bed. “Rose.”
He placed the gun on the table before taking his jacket off.
“I want you. Can I?”
“Don’t come over!” Rosalie said as she retreated hastily, her face deathly pale. “Don’t treat me like this, please. You treat me as a sister and
I
see you as a brother. Let’s be
siblings, shall we?”
“But I want to be husband and wife with you. Don’t worry, I’ll take responsibility for what happens.”
Yerick sat down on the bed and held her hand.
Rosalie shook his hand off.
