In the blink of an eye, it had already been two months since Steve was born. Rosalie had almost fully recovered.
She had been in Melrine for about half a year now. Even before the baby was born, Rosalie hadn’t been idle.
She attended several training courses tailored for finance professionals. These courses provided practical financial knowledge and skills within a short period while also allowing her towork with other professionals.
Additionally, she kept an eye on financial seminars and academic conferences, and attended useful ones. She listened to lectures given by experts, kept abreast of the latest trends and research in finance, and engaged in discussions with scholars and industry professionals. It was a fruitful time for her.
After giving birth, she observed a two-month confinement period, but she kept herself busy. Since she had help, she spent most of her time studying finance. She even enrolled in a graduate exchange program.
After selecting a suitable university, she visited their website to learn about their exchange program. Once she had all the necessary information, she immediately began preparing the documents needed for an application, including a personal statement, recommendation letters, transcripts, and language test scores. She submitted everything before the deadline.
Sebastian helped her a lot during this process. As for the tuition fees, she considered herself lucky as she didn’t need to spend time and energy applying for scholarships. Money wasn’t an issue for her, so she didn’t have to worry about providing those documents.
Her visa was also sorted out without any complications. That was one of the advantages of wealth-every country welcomed wealthy individuals. Everything went smoothly.
Rosalie’s child was born in Melrine, thus gaining citizenship there. However, she hadn’t come to Melrine just to give birth; it was mainly to accompany Sebastian for his treatment. Since she happened to be pregnant at the time, she didn’t have much of a choice.
Even though her child had Melrine citizenship, Rosalie had no intention of changing hers. She had no plans to immigrate. When her child turned eighteen, she would let him decide whether to keep the Melrine citizenship or revert to their original nationality.
Sebastian entered the study and found Rosalie engrossed in her work at the computer. Her focused expression, as always, was both beautiful and captivating.
He approached her and said, Rose.
Rosalie turned around. Seb, you’re here.
How’s everything going? he asked.
I’ll be going to the university in three days. This exchange program lasts for three months.
Sebastian smiled gently. That’s
great. After the exchange program,
have you considered applying for a full-time graduate program in Melrine?
Rosalie thought for a moment before replying, We’ll see. I’m not sure yet.
In truth, Rosalie still wanted to return to her home country. After all, her grandmother and friends were there. Studying in Melrine would be great, but she feared that if she stayed too long, she might end up staying here permanently and cut herself off from her connections back home.
Seeing her hesitation, Sebastian said, It’s alright. We can think about it when the time comes. I have a treatment session at the hospital later. Can you come with me?
During Rosalie’s final stages of pregnancy and her recovery, Sebastian had been going to his treatments alone.
Rosalie closed her laptop. Of course. It’s been a while since I’ve gone with you.
Sebastian smiled, pleased. Let’s take the baby with us. After my treatment, we can go out for a walk.
No problem, Rosalie said, looking forward to the stroll.
