Chapter 418
Who did he think he was to yell at her?!

Stephanie was curious about the relationship between Charlie and Milly. They seemed inseparable, their closeness unmistakable.
Could they be secret lovers?
Ha, she knew it. A slut like Milly would never stop seducing men. But her taste sure was questionable. How desperate for love was she to fall for someone as ordinary as Charlie?
On the other hand, Milly certainly was daring, juggling
George while flirting with other men in the entertainment industry. She played the game well, but how much longer could she keep playing?
Since that was the case, Stephanie decided there was no need to pretend anymore. “Milly, you wouldn’t want Mr. Tate to see you clinging to another man, would you? If I took a picture of you now and sent it to him, what do you think would happen…?”
She pulled out the small, broken phone and waved it, a mocking smile playing on her lips.
Milly felt terrible, her stomach churning. She didn’t want to leave George’s comforting embrace, but…
“How do you have a phone?”
They had handed in their phones before arriving on the island.
Stephanie smiled. “That’s not for you to worry about. But you wouldn’t want Mr. Tate or the whole world to see you looking like you can’t live without a man, right? Talk to me, and I won’t send the photo. How about that?”
Milly wasn’t stupid. “Why should I trust you?”
Stephanie shrugged. “You don’t have to. But then you’ll lose your chance to negotiate.”
Milly narrowed her eyes, a serious look crossing her face.
It was a blatant provocation, but she had no choice.
She wasn’t really worried about the photo, she just wanted to know what Stephanie was up to.
First, Stephanie stole Matthew’s drawings on the island. Then, she schemed to get close to Milly. She clearly had an agenda. Perhaps she joined the show with a specific purpose.
What was her goal?
And how did she suddenly become part of the Lloyds, with proud Hannah willingly introducing her to the public? There was definitely something fishy about all this.
Although Jordan had previously stated clearly that no matter what Stephanie did, it wouldn’t affect the Burnetts, Milly still felt uneasy. After all, she hadn’t yet figured out what led to the Burnetts’ downfall, and Stephanie seemed like the most likely cause.
She needed to solve this mystery.
This time, she had to accept the invitation.
George noticed her movement and instinctively reached out to stop her. “Don’t go.”
Even though Stephanie hid it well, George could still see the murderous intent in her eyes.
This woman…
Keeping her around was ultimately a disaster.
But now wasn’t the best time to get rid of her. Once they were back on the island, he would deal with her properly.
Milly understood his concern. She gently patted his hand and whispered, “It’s okay. I need to talk to her too.”
“But… “George still wasn’t reassured.
Milly was resolute. ‘Don’t worry. If she tries anything, I won’t let her get away with it. She’s not foolish enough to drag me down with her.”
George fell silent, pressing his lips together but saying nothing more.
The fragile Milly who had just been in his arms was gone. Standing before him now was the strong, determined Milly who always stood her ground.
He wanted to protect her, but she insisted on facing things on her own. If that was the case…
George smirked, his entire demeanor exuding a cold, unmistakable murderous intent as he stared at Stephanie.
If she dared to harm Milly, no matter her connections with the Lloyds, he would find a way to make her life a living hell.
Stephanie felt the intense pressure from his gaze, stepping back and nearly falling. When she regained her composure, her forehead was covered in sweat…
How could such an ordinary-looking man have such a powerful presence?
At that moment, the foreign captain of the yacht suddenly shouted through the intercom frantically, “Does anyone know how to steer a yacht? I need someone to help me navigate!”
This yacht had been hired by the director at a high price on short notice, so there was no time to find a co- captain. Given the severe weather, even if there had been time, no one would have wanted the job.
On a normal day, the yacht wouldn’t need an extra hand.
But with the typhoon approaching, the radar signal on the yacht was fluctuating, forcing them to rely on a basic compass to navigate. The worst thing at sea was getting lost, and steering a yacht was complicated.
If they veered off course, they wouldn’t need to wait for the typhoon; they would be doomed once the fuel ran out.
The captain was desperate, hoping that someone on board had the experience to help him navigate.
Milly looked at George and asked, “Do you know how to steer a yacht?”
She remembered that in the novels, the powerful CEOs always seemed capable of everything. Steering a yacht should be within his skills, right?
George nodded.
As the heir of the Tates, he had learned many skills from a young age, including how to pilot various boats. He never understood why it was necessary, but now it seemed useful.
Milly’s eyes lit up. She had guessed right. For once, she appreciated the clichéd plotlines of the novel. “Then go. This is serious.”
George glanced warily at Stephanie. “She’ll try to hurt you.”
It was a statement, not a question.
Milly smiled. “It’s fine. She’s not a match for me yet.”
But George still wasn’t convinced. ‘No, I need to stay here and protect you.”
Milly frowned. “You staying here won’t help. I need to get information from her. If you’re around, she won’t reveal anything and might even become suspicious.
“And if you don’t help with the yacht, we could all die at sea. That would be even worse.”
George pressed his lips together, thinking it over.
