The room felt colder than usual as I bent over, fingers barely touching the floor.
My heart pounded in my chest, blood rushing to my ears.
I could feel Silas behind me, he had pushed up from his chair just to stand behind me and I couldn’t do anything about it.
Time stretched, and I held my breath, waiting, unsure of what lie was going to do.

When I had hesitated to do what he wanted, he stared at me.

His palm on my back was warm, making me gasp softly

Heat rushed to my face, a mix of embarrassment and something else I couldn’t name.
His words twisted something in me, and I bit my lips. An attempt to control myself.
I wasn’t sure if it was shame or arousal fueling the fire spreading through me, but I couldn’t deny the way my body responded to him.
His hand slid lower, over the curve of my ass, and my breath caught in my throat.
