He stepped forward, intent on teaching Freya a lesson, only to be stopped by her cold words, “The deed to this house is in my hands, and your name’s not on it. Believe me. I can have you out of here with just one word.”
“You!” Leland was stopped in his tracks by Freya’s words.
Seeing Freya truly upset, Johanna quickly held Leland back, urging, “What’s gotten into you, child? Apologize to Freya instantly!” When you’re under someone else’s roof, you follow their rules.
