Meanwhile, Bernard stared at the phone after she disconnected the call. He chuckled before turning to put Hera’s most worn black silk nightgown into his suitcase.
Samantha took a bottle of Romanée-Conti and two wine glasses from the wine rack. After setting them on the coffee table, she poured the wine into the glasses.
