In no time at all, Thalassa was left dazed and breathless; her mind was a foggy haze struggling for air.
Only then did Lysander release her and let their lips part with a lingering connection. His damp mouth traced a path along her cheek to the tender skin behind her ear, his breath teasing her and making her neck twitch. Her breath was so hitched as she gasped for air. “How do you plan to leave me this time, hmm?” Lysander’s husky voice rumbled against her ear, his lips grazing her earlobe as a form of punishment.

Thalassa said, “I thought you and Susan were willing partners, so I felt it would be better off if I stepped aside for you both.”

Lysander paused, her words feather-light yet piercing his heart, making it clench.
“Why help her if you were so unwilling?” Lysander murmured against her ear as he kissed it. His dangerous aura was threatening to invade her at any moment.
The itch behind Thalassa’s ear was intense, but her heart skipped a beat at his question.
