Before Thalassa entered the picture, Lysander had his fair share of admirers, but he never spared them a second glance.
Once Thalassa appeared, she became the sole focus of his attention.

Thalassa lowered her lashes thoughtfully and replied, “What about Charlotte or Faye? Weren’t they both interested in him?”
“Charlotte, riding on the coattails of her grandfather’s casual remarks and her ties to the Ravensong family board, has always paraded around Lysander like she’s already won him over. But has Lysander ever given her the time of day? And Faye, who has secretly pined for Lysander for a decade and stuck by his side for years-if Lysander had any interest in her, do you think she’d have been let go so easily?” Ethan challenged.
“And how do you know Faye hasn’t been in Lysander’s bed? How can you be certain that Lysander fired her not because she compromised his company’s interests? Or maybe Lysander just got bored of her,” Thalassa asked with a calm demeanor.
Lysander was a man who prioritized his interests above all else. If anyone threatened those, he’d cut ties without a second thought, regardless of past affections.
Take Leopold, for instance. After that smartphone debacle, Lysander insisted that Leopold take full responsibility for the mishap, despite Leopold’s argument that it was the Sinclair group’s product and therefore their issue to address.
Lysander refused to accept that it was the Sinclair group’s liability, and it ended up driving Leopold to his grave!
Leopold was Lysander’s own nephew, and if he could be that ruthless with family, what chance did an unrelated woman stand?
He could cast someone aside without batting an eye.
The thought of Leopold pained Thalassa’s heart.
“You…” Ethan was taken aback by Thalassa’s misconceptions about Lysander.
After a moment of surprise, he chuckled, “It seems you really don’t know Lysander. You haven’t been around him long enough.”
Not enough time to grasp Lysander’s true nature.
“I don’t know him,” Thalassa admitted.
Lysander was enigmatic, moody, and unpredictable. How could she truly grasp his character?

“Alright, take your time to figure him out,” Ethan nodded, casually slipping one hand into his pocket and letting the other hang at his side before turning to leave the office.
Halfway out, he paused, looked back at Thalassa, and teased, “Just don’t get any more. bright ideas about running off, ‘Your Highness.”
Thalassa was at a loss for words.
Calling her ‘Your Highness,’ Ethan must have been really spooked.
“Understood, ‘Big Shot,” Thalassa retorted.
Ethan stopped in his tracks and chuckled, “Taking advantage of me, are you?”
“Not at all. Someone has to respond to the titles Mr. Ethan dishes out,” Thalassa replied with mock seriousness.
Ethan nodded, “Good. Still got some sass in you. I guess Lysander hasn’t punished you after all.”
“You’re mistaken, Mr. Ethan. I’m just making the best of a bad situation. Can’t go around with a sour face all the time,” Thalassa clarified.
Lysander’s temper was notorious, and she had nearly suffered a miscarriage due to his punishment.
“I’ve noticed you’ve picked up some cunning tactics, getting more and more like Lysander by the day. You two really do act like an old married couple,” Ethan remarked.
