Thalassa’s hair was a little tousled under his touch. She attempted to dodge his hand but froze in place.

She quickly came back to her senses. She stood up and said, “It’s getting late and I need to get back to the office.”
Leopold stood up with her, blocking her path with a smile on his face, “I was just joking with you. Don’t be scared.”
Thalassa didn’t speak, just looked at him. His smile instantly lightened the mood.
“Let’s go and take a stroll in the library. You used to love hanging out in the library, saying that’s where you could gain knowledge. You said the most important thing for a secretary’s major was to read books, broaden your horizon, and learn from case studies. really didn’t know what to do with you back then, but now I seem to understand your ambition.”
His tone was light and playful; his arm wrapped around her neck, pulling her along in a playful choke hold just like old times.
In the past, whenever he did this, Thalassa would slap his hand away, telling him to let go, or she would bite him.
Leopold would always be fearless, saying she would take the responsibility if she bit him, and he would cling to her for life.

He knew what Thalassa was nervous about Lysander.
