As more and more eyes drew to him, Tristan felt as if he’d
undoubtedly become the center of attention if he stayed there any longer.
Those who didn’t know any better might actually think he was picking on a kid. Hence, he strode toward the restroom.
Zachary immediately dropped his act, raised his smartwatch, and snapped a picture of the disheveled Tristan from the perfect angle. He wasn’t done just yet; he followed Tristan into a suite.
From a distance, Shannon noticed Zachary and felt a pang of tenderness. She took a sip of her drink and told Daphne, “What an adorable little boy; he’s so well–mannered and sensible. If Xav had a child, he’d definitely be just like him.”
Shannon’s perpetually stoic face would only soften when she was in front of such young children.
Daphne could tell that Shannon was once again urging her to hurry up and bear Xavier’s child, so she could only nod in agreement.
Meanwhile, once Tristan reached the suite, he called Avery and told him to bring a fresh set of clothes. Soon, Avery arrived with them and said, “I’ve placed the clothes on the table, Mr. Shaw.”
“Alright, you can go now.”
“Understood, sir.” Avery opened the door and left, unaware of the little boy crouched by the corner of the couch. After all, he had assumed that no one would dare sneak into Tristan’s room.
Tristan went into the bathroom to shower. Listening to the sound of running water in the bathroom, Zachary tiptoed out of his hiding spot, grabbed Tristan’s clothes and phone, and chucked them out from the third–floor window. “That’s what you get for bullying my
mom!”
After doing all that, he made sure to sabotage the phone in the room that was connected to the front desk on his way out. Pulling the brim. of his cap down, Zachary dashed out of the room.

“I’m sorry…” Zachary apologized to the person he had run into. Looking up, he met his lousy excuse for a father’s cold, piercing eyes.
Xavier looked into his eyes and, for some reason, felt drawn toward them. “It’s okay,” he responded coolly.
-Zachary scurried away. Even after he had left the hotel, his heart.
was still racing. He had just run into Xavier! Luckily, he’d had his. mask and cap on.
Meanwhile, Tristan, who was fresh out of the shower in the hotel, was boiling with anger. He had no idea who had thrown away his clothes. His phone was also missing, and the phone in the room had been cut off.
With no other option, he wrapped a towel around his waist and walked out. Amidst the astonished gazes of the hotel guests, Tristan borrowed someone’s phone to call Avery. After a frantic search, the bodyguards found his clothes and phone downstairs.
“Could it be that someone’s out to get you, Mr. Shaw?” Avery asked, slightly shaken up by the thought that someone had broken into the hotel and even made their way into Tristan’s room.
Tristan’s brows drew together. “Probably not.” If someone was after him, why would they only throw away his clothes and phone? It was so childish; it felt like something a kid would do.

A kid… He thought of that little brat who had worn a mask and had offered him a drink. His expression darkened. He wondered if Zachary was an illegitimate child from one of his past flings.
“I’ll have someone look into it right away,” Avery said.
“Hold on!” Tristan called out to him. “Leave it.”
If Zachary really was his illegitimate child, he would definitely come looking for him again. Tristan couldn’t make a big fuss about this. If Archibald found out, it wouldn’t end well for him.
Avery, though puzzled, nodded. Then, he added, “I have the results. of the investigation you asked me to carry out this morning, Mr. Shaw.”
