Jaden is touched! Ella thought happily.
“If you like it, I’ll buy it for you often. Besides chocolate bars, I bring you other delicious treats!” Ella smiled warmly at him, her smile so infectious it seemed to light up the room like a wild rose in full bloom, radiant and captivating.
Jaden’s heart tightened slightly. In that moment, he felt a barely audible crack in the icy depths of his heart.
Ella didn’t boast about the sacrifices she made to protect Jaden. She saw it as her duty, a promise she had made and was determined to keep. Besides, she didn’t think Jaden would understand, so why burden him unnecessarily? Ella advised Jaden to get enough sleep and est properly before she left.
Alone in his room, Jaden stared at the chocolate bars, lost in thought. Hank waited for his next order. He could use this opportunity to bankrupt Willow Group, but hesitated once more.

Taking a bite of chocolate bars, he found it deliciously sweet. He really liked it
Ella slept deeply at home, forgening about visiting her grandfather at the sanatorium until the doctor called again,
“How is Grandpa doing now?” Ella asked.
“He’s awake for longer periods, but due to lying down too much, there’s a blood clot in his brain pressing on a nerve, causing some cognitive impairment. Overall, he’s better than before. Your voit could help his recovery,” the doctor explained.
“I understand. I’ll try to visit, Ella decided, realizing she needed to go to the sanatorium. After much hesitation, she contacted Harry
“Yes, Ella“” Harry answered impatiently. Initially, Harry and some feelings for Ella, but after repeated rejections, he hated her deeply. He wished she’d never fall into his hands, otherwise he’d make her life unbearable, treating her as a mere plaything. She had no right to be Mrs. Rhys, only a kept woman!
Why are you calling me! Are you going to threaten me again!” He was cautious, still a bit scared.
Ella felt speechless but set aside her grievances and asked, “Grandpa wants to see you. Can you come with me to visit him? Harry, our issues. shouldn’t concern the elders. Grandpa helped you a lot to get where you are. You should still be grateful to him, right He’s getting better and wants to see us happy. Can you help me with this act?”

Ella felt furious. She really wanted to blow Harry’s head off for being so arrogant! Clenching her fists, she softened her tone, thinking of her grandfather. “Yes, I’m begging you”
“Ella, that’s not how you beg! If you speak nicely, I might consider it.” Harry continued to push her limits.
“Don’t go too far, Harry Ella frowned.
“Am I going too far? I’m not asking much, just for you to apologize. Then I’ll let bygones he bygones Harry was further testing Ella’s patience.
Disgusted, Ella hung up. She couldn’t bear to call him back. The thought of Harry’s disgusting face made her want to vomit. If the plan failed, she would tell her grandfather she had a change of heart and cheated. Grandpa might scold her, but she’d take it. After much deliberation, she decided to take Jaden to see her grandfather.
Ella bought many things for Jaden to carry and even got him new clothes Jaden, in a new denim jacket and white casual pants, looked like a sunny young man. His hair gleamed, and his face was flawless.
“You’ll meet my grandpa today. He is very important to me. Be careful with your words and don’t let on that you’re not all there, okay?” Ella patiently instructed Jaden.

“You’re great,” Ella said affectionately, ruffling his hair. “It’s just that Grandpa is old and wants me to have a good future. If he knew your condition, he’d worry more. In his eyes, I’m still a girl who needs care, but now I have to care for you like an adult, and that would worry him: Anyway, you wouldn’t understand. Jaden followed closely, her earlier words echoing in his mind. He stared at the back of her head, where all her hair was gathered into a fishtail braid
that swayed as she walked. He felt like those few strands of hair had brushed against his heart,
“You finally came. Your grandpa has been missing you for a long time” the doctor at the door said with a smile to Ella, then looked at the man beside her. “This isn’t Mr. Rhys, right!”
“I changed partners” she said, mustering the courage to push the door open.
Seeing the elderly man sitting up in bed, her eyes moistened, “Grandpa”
Ella’s grandfather turned slowly, his wrinkled face breaking into a kind smile. “You’re here. Let me have a look at you. It’s been so long since you visited. I missed you terribly.” He came over shakily. The two hugged, tears streaming down their faces.
“Oh, Harry’s here too, Grandpa said, looking at Jaden with a smile.
Jaden frowned slightly, wondering if he had poor eyesight. “No, I am. He started to explain but was pulled back by Ella, who signaled him to stop.
“Grandpa, what did you call him” Ella asked.
“Harry. He’s still as handsonne as ever, just right for you” Ella’s grandfather said with a smile.
Ella was overjoyed in that instant. She suddenly remembered the doctor’s mention of her grandfather’s cognitive impairment. It turned out to be a perfect cover for Harry’s absence.
Ella nodded happily. “Yes, he is Harry. He’s doing great now, in charge of Rhys Group! Under his leadership, Willow Group is flourishing. Your dear granddaughter doesn’t have to do anything, just enjoy life every day”
“That’s right, you just need to enjoy life. You’re still pregnant, with a little baby in your belly.” Ella’s grandfather’s face lit up with joy, his spirits high because of new hope in life
The only one in a bad mood was Jaden. Being mistaken for that scumbag Harry made him feel diny.
. He didn’t understand why Ella didn’t explain. and he couldn’t help but suspect whether Lila still loved Harry.
