Alison smiled at her and waved her hand, saying, “You hid it well. Otherwise, I would have told that scoundrel at home your news. He’s done so many wrongs, betrayed your deep love for him. He deserves to be trapped in the torment of losing the one he loved, living a life worse than death.”
