After hanging up, Adrian carried on eating his pasta, seemingly oblivious to his surroundings.
Seeing that she didn’t move, he gently urged, “Please cat.”
Lysander waved her hand, indicating that she was not hungry, and it was too late for her to eat.
Adrian said softly. “You suddenly decided to go abroad earlier than planned and deliberately chose not
to get a SIM card. Was it to avoid Josiah?”

Lysander never intended to hide from him forever.

As soon as the call connected, Aiden’s voice, sounding as if he was on the verge of tears, came through. “Adrian, Josiah is already on his way to the airport.”

“Mmm-hmm, but I’m not the one who spilled it. It seems like Josiah had visited Lysander’s family and heard it from them.”
Adrian simply hummed in response. “Understood.”
“Adrian, I really tried my best to play dumb, but… well, you handle this situation however you see fit. I honestly don’t know who I should be helping.
“In that case, just stay neutral. Besides, you wouldn’t be able to help with this matter anyway.”
Aiden was noticeably agitated. “I only have one request. Please, don’t start a fight.”

Adrian put his phone down and glanced at it, noticing it was an unfamiliar number.
Nevertheless, he was certain who the caller was. “It’s Josiah.”
